Power Move for Mining: Hydrogen at Work at THIESS Mount Pleasant Coal Mine
Cohesion travelled to the Mount Pleasant Coal Mine in NSW to capture Blue Diamond Machinery’s latest hydrogen project, delivered in partnership with Toyota. On site, we filmed the 100 kVA GEH2 hydrogen generator powering key facilities through heat, dust and long run hours — proving zero-emissions power can stand up to real mining conditions.
Our team produced a clean, punchy case-study video showcasing the generator’s impact: over 5,000 hours of operation, 18,000 litres of diesel displaced, and 172 tonnes of CO₂ avoided.
This project highlights our ongoing relationship with Blue Diamond Machinery and their broader collaboration with Toyota, as the industry continues its shift toward cleaner, smarter power solutions.
